Domain Names

We've got your hosting covered, but how about your domain name?
Why is this so confusing?

Making Domains Easy

Provisioning Information

To ensure your domain name and emails are set up correctly and smoothly, we need some specific information based on how your emails are managed.

A domain name is essentially your address on the internet. Just like your medical centre has a physical address where patients visit, a domain name is the address where your website resides online. It's what people type into their web browsers to find you, like www.yourmedicalcentre.com.au.

While a domain name is your address on the web, hosting is like the building where your website lives. Think of hosting as the space that stores all your website's files, images, and content. Your domain name points people to this space so they can access your website. In short, you need both a domain name and hosting for your website to be accessible online.

With Medical Together, you provide the domain name and as a part of our service, we provide the hosting.

Domain-based email uses your domain name in your email addresses, giving your communications a professional touch. Instead of using a generic email service like Gmail or Yahoo, you can have emails like info@yourmedicalcentre.com.au or appointments@yourmedicalcentre.com.au. This not only looks more professional but also helps reinforce your brand every time you send an email.

If you are currently using domain based emails, we don't want to interfere with that, so it is important that you inform us so we can provide you with the best possible transition to your new website.

If you’re running domain-based emails and have an IT support company managing them, please provide the best contact details for your IT support. This includes:

- The name of the IT support company
- The primary contact person’s name
- Their phone number
- Their email address

Having these details helps us coordinate with them to ensure everything is set up correctly.

If you’re managing your domain-based emails yourself, please provide us with access to your domain name registrar. The domain name registrar is the company where you purchased your domain name (like GoDaddy, Namecheap, or Crazy Domains). We’ll need the following details:
  • The domain registrar’s website
  • Your login username
  • Your password

This access allows us to make any necessary adjustments to ensure your domain name and emails are properly configured.

By providing this information, we can help make sure your online presence is professional, reliable, and hassle-free. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re here to help!
